In 1995, Insight Enterprises Inc. became a public traded company, selling its stock under the NASDAQ ticker symbol NSIT.
In 1997, the brothers took the opportunity to expand to serve enterprise and public sector customers across Canada.
In 1998, Insight acquired Choice Peripherals in the United Kingdom, thus establishing a presence across the Atlantic. Then in 1999, Insight bought Action Computer Supplies Holdings, a London-based technology direct marketer with operations in the UK and Spain. This made Insight the largest direct mail reseller in the UK.
In 2006, Insight acquired Software Spectrum, Inc., one of the world's leading providers of software solution and services. The acquisition of Software Spectrum enabled global expansion of the company's footprint. Insight currently provides hardware, software and services in North America and UK, and software and software services in EMEA and APAC.
In 2008, Insight acquired Tempe based, Calence LLC, one of the US largest independent technology service providers specializing in Cisco networking solutions, advanced communications and managed services. At the same time, the UK business acquired MINX Limited – a small, UK based European network integrator, beginning Insight's transition to a service solutions provider and networking powerhouse in EMEA and the US.
Today, Insight is a global provider of IT solutions to businesses and public sector institutions. Insight has evolved from a private, home-based entrepreneurial venture by two brothers to a publically traded Fortune 500 corporation with net sales in 2010 of $4.8 billion.
